Why I Love Ikea

About once a month or so I go to Ikea to check out furniture and other items.  I love this store.  Why?  Mostly because you can tour the show rooms and see what rooms look like with various furniture.  Secondly, their prices are great on most items, however I have found sofas are a bit pricey. 

The best part of Ikea furniture and the worst is that the materials are quality, but you have to assemble most of them yourself.  The instructions can be complicated depending on the furniture you buy, plus you will need the proper tools.  However, the materials are real wood and quality.  So, they are not like the furniture you get in a box from Wal-Mart with cardboard backing, etc.

If you are looking for kitchen items like pots, pans, or utensils, you can score big and save a ton.  Their home lighting is well priced as well.  Many times I just go to look but end up finding a pan or knife set I need for a great price. 

BTW, if you go to an Ikea and get hungry, their Swedish meatballs are great at the restaurant. If there is an Ikea near you and you have not visited it yet, take the time.   It is fun to explore the mini rooms and mini house settings they have.  It makes a great day adventure on a cold day and is fun for a date as well.
